Amer town (11kms from Jaipur) is the ancient capital of rulers of Jaipur. It is not only a fort, but a town with many attractions created by different rulers of the dynasty from 11 century onwards. The main fort is also known as Amber Fort used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. The Amber Fort looks due to its light yellow color and its location on the banks of Maotha Lake. The crystal mirror image of the Fort, on the still waters of the lake, seems to be a beautiful illusion. Amber Fort’s construction started in 1592, by the Hindu king Raja Man Singh I and subsequent kings’ added different parts to the fort. The granite road climbs steeply to the gateway of Amber and on either side of the road are beautiful places, mansions, temples and gardens with geometrical designs.
Apart from the Palace, the old town of Amber have many beautiful Temple and a huge Step-well. One must visit the ancient Jagat Shiromani Temple in the old time, which is known for its true Hindu architecture and spiritual atmosphere. You can walk up to the Amber Palace to cover the whole Amber town and Fort. Major attraction inside the palace is the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of mirrors – Jai Mandir) on account of its walls and ceilings which glitter with mirror and spangled work. It was built by Mirza Raja Jai Singh. After visiting the Amber fort you can continue to explore pink city of Jaipur and can visit other important land marks of Jaipur, which are Hawa-Mahal, City Palace Museum and Astronomical Observatory.

Jaipur Elephant Village Tour
The erstwhile Jaipur kingdom was having a huge army and Elephants were an integral part of military and royal processions. Later on when Elephants were no more employed in the Royal army, the elephant owners started to offer rides to the visitors coming to explore the Amber fort. If you are interested in knowing meaning of yoga along with few basic principles and steps then you can attend our short yoga sessions for few days. We organise it for groups and individuals. We are not following any specific ‘Type’ of Yoga, which have unfortunately mushroomed all over the world. Our approach (Not the type) is ‘Sankhya-yoga’, which aims to integrate yogic theory and physical practices to a maximum possible extent.
We follow a traditional approach to yoga to enlighten students with the wisdom that yoga system aims to spread in the world. Our methodology aims to cultivate a lifestyle which is in accordance with traditional Indian ethical values. One of the major objectives of this course is to imbibe a healthy daily routine among students and this is the reason for starting the prorgamme every day in the early morning.
The founder of Yoga Maharishi Patanjali prescribed certain rules for humans to follow as a productive member of society and he prescribed a code of conduct that we try to inculcate among students through a systematic understanding of the same. We expect our students to follow this code and later promote the same in society. You may find few basic differences in conception of yoga from your the previous experience in yoga schools located in different socio-economic and cultural settings, but must be willing to adopt according to ultimate goals and objectives of traditional Yoga system.
